What family friendly means to us
- A story should not include acts of violence, perversion, derogatory comments based on creed, race or religious beliefs or references to sex other than as gender.
- We are more interested in your stories about soap box derbies than soap box issues.
- This is not a place for rants or vile venting of any nature. Any drawings, pictures, links or pen names need to adhere to the spirit of this guideline.
Age Appropriate Reading
We allow any visitor or member to read any story on this site. We do not offer the ability to filter story choices. However, each story indicates a guideline for age appropriateness. There are three levels of recommendation:
All … Should be suitable for all ages.
13+ … Best if read first by a parent if reader is under age 13.
18+ … Contains more mature material; more suited for readers at least 18 years old.
All postings to this site are to be family friendly. However, there might be some topics that are not appropriate for younger people. One example is the story by Norman Paulk titled “I Can Not Cope”. This includes the letter that Norman’s father wrote before he took his own life. It has been rated 18+.
If you read a story that you feel should show a more restrictive rating than the one posted, please post a courteous message for the member/author requesting a new rating. You might even make a comment in a review about the story. If you feel the rating is still inaccurate or that the story does not belong on this site, contact us. Provide your thoughts and refer to messages shared with the story’s author. Our contact information is shown at the top of our homepage under Tools/Contact Us.
